Plug and play solution

Just grab your Trinity accelerator and convert your Amiga 1200 into a new beast and add more functionalities.

Form Factor

The board is meant to be used inside the original, A1200 case. No modifications are required.

Footprint compatible with 68040/68060 CPU’s

The accelerator allows using a 68040 or a 68060 CPU. Yes, it has both footprints on board :).

Demoscene friendy

Yes! This accelerator is fully 99.999999% compatible with all the demos made for A1200. There have been several tests to ensure high compatibility, comparable to the oldie but goodie Blizzard 1240/1260 accelerator. In resume, if a demo works on the Blizzard will also work (even better) on the Trinity. Specially if the demo has been made natively for 040/060 processors.

Hardware friendly

As this might sound a little stupid, YES!, Trinity is able to work with PCMCIA and clock port solutions. There’s still some incompatibilities with PCMCIA network cards due to how the drivers are built.

Timing fix thingy…

The what?, nope, you don’t need to modify your A1200 in order to make this accelerator work *.

Use any kickstart

You can use your current kickstart ROM, all recent kickstart versions such as 3.1.4 and 3.2 work out of the box. It has been tested from 1.3* to 3.X. Note that kickstarts <=3.0 do not include the auto-config for fast-ram, so its good to have the latest Kickstarts compatible with A1200.

Full specs recap:

  • 68040/68060 compatible (via a jumper).
  • 128MByte of Fast-Ram.
  • Onboard I2S 16-bit stereo sound card compatible with AHI. Includes a 3.5″ jack
  • Expansion connector for future upgrades.
  • Compatible with any A1200 motherboard revision.
  • Fits in your old o new oldstock A1200 case!!!
  • A1100 friendly of course.

Differences between the Tsunami

Well, this is the BIG brother of the Tsunami accelerator, and also an evolution of it 🙂
